  • What primary services do you offer?

    We offer the rental of our custom mobile bar trailer, satellite bar, or champagne cart for a set time frame on top of bartending services. We can work for any event with our licensed and insured bartenders and offer a variety of additions to make your bar stand out from a standard bar.

  • How big is the trailer?

    The trailer is 9 1/2 ft tall, 6 ft wide, and 11 1/2 ft long. Our mobile bar requires flat ground for set up and service. We also need a clear access for our truck to enter and leave the location.

  • What's inside our mobile bar?

    The trailer is outfitted with 2 beverage coolers which can store 284 12 oz cans, a single tap Kegerator for draft beverages, and an ice well with a capacity of 119 lbs of ice. We also have multiple coolers we use inside and behind the trailer.

  • Can you provide the alcohol for me?

    Due to ABC laws, we cannot provide alcohol, but we will see you through every step to make sure you get everything you need! Obtaining a one-day ABC License is easy and we can show you how!

  • What happens to the leftover alcohol?

    If there is any alcohol left at the end of the event it is yours to keep! We will make sure it's all ready to go when you are!

  • Do you need power? What about if I don’t have access to power?

    We will need to be within 75 feet of a power outlet. Otherwise, we will provide an extra quiet generator.

  • Do you haul the trash away?

    Sipping Southern is a bar service company and does not have the facilities to haul away or dispose of event trash. Although we do supply a trash can, Sipping Southern will not remove trash from the event site but will work with the host to ensure we place all trash securely and neatly in the agreed upon location post event.

    We will haul away trash for a $150.00 flat fee which will be discussed upon during consultation.

  • How far will you travel?

    Sipping Southern Mobile Bar is based in Williamsburg, Virginia. The great thing is we are mobile and travel all around Virginia and parts of North Carolina and Maryland. Our first 40 miles are free of charge, and we charge a $1.50 per mile roundtrip for anything greater than 40 miles from 23185.

  • Do you customize packages?

    Each proposal is tailored to the needs of your event and we can customize any of our packages! We offer several add -ons including decor and styling the bar to cater to your event. We can discuss this in detail during your consultation.

  • Can we use glassware?

    Yes- We do charge a $125 glassware management fee if you are using glassware thru the venue or caterer for bar services

    Don’t want to use glassware, but want to elevate your options? We offer upgraded drinkware from Tossware.

  • How soon should I book with you?

    As soon as possible! Our calendar has been quickly filling, however, be sure to check with us we may have an approaching date available. We tend to see our bar services booking 7-8 months out from event date.

    A 50% non-refundable retainer and signed contract must be in place to secure a date. This deposit will go towards your final payment. Unfortunately, since we block out your date specifically from further inquiries, we do not offer a deposit refund on cancellations.​

    We can only secure your date once contract is signed and the retainer is paid in full.​

    Please note that an email, inquiry, or quote does NOT secure your date. We work on a first-come-first-serve basis.

  • How do I get a quote?

    Fill out the inquiry form., We aim to get you quotes within 48-72 hours! If you have any questions about your customized quote, we’re always up for a phone or zoom chat!

  • Do you have a rain date policy?

    Unfortunately we cannot accommodate rain dates due to the nature of our advance bookings. The host can provide some sort of cover in front of the camper in the event of inclement weather!

  • What if I don’t want to serve alcohol, can I serve other things out of the trailer?

    Yes! We would love to work with you to serve whatever your heart desires! We have different packages to fit your non-alcoholic needs. Contact us to learn more!

  • Can you provide just bartenders?

    We sure can! Inquire for more details.

  • Are you licensed and insured?

    Yes, we carry general and liquor liability insurance. If you have any questions about your venue’s restrictions, we would love to reach out to them. We are a Limited Liability Company, and our bartenders are TIPS certified.

    TIPS certification is a training program designed to watch for over-serving and underage drinking. We will NOT serve minors.

  • Are there any services or restrictions your company has for events?

    We are ALL about having a good time and serving some fabulous drinks. However, we take SAFETY as our #1 priority.

    We will not allow any shots of any kind unless it is something pre-approved while booking. We hope you understand that our number one goal is to provide a professional bar experience while maintaining a safe and responsible environment for you and your guests. Our goal is to provide excellent service, a unique atmosphere, amazing drinks, and good times….but safety is our first priority.

    If outside alcohol is served anywhere outside of our bar, your liability coverage with Sipping Southern Mobile Bar will be considered null and void. We will not accept any responsibility for drinks served outside of our bar.

  • Do you rent your mobile bar and champagne cart out for styled shoots?

    Yes! We love to participate in styled shoots.Please inquire with us on the details!

  • Can you host a cash bar?

    Unfortunately, due to the ABC laws in the Commonwealth of Virginia we cannot collect money in exchange for alcoholic beverages.

  • Can I rent the trailer without bartending services?

    Unfortunately, due to liability issues, we do not rent out the trailer without our bar staff.

  • What are your COVID precautions?

    Our goal is to spread happiness, not germs. Sipping Southern is committed to your safety and the safety of our guests. We completely sanitize our bar and bubble car before as well as after drop off and set up, ensuring a germ free party zone. We will gladly discuss your COVID precautions for your event during consultation

  • Do you get the ABC License?

    No! The State of Virginia requires whoever is hosting the event to get a one day ABC Banquet License. It’s very easy to get and can be done all online. We can absolutely show you how to apply.
